After three straight one win seasons, the Knoxville Football Program is looking to turn the corner this season. Much of the Panthers returners on offense will be along the line and receiving corps. One question that remains is the running back position, in which Coach Matt Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports may be by committee this season.
Dunkin: “We couldn’t be happier with the way those guys are practicing, Hayden Willouby, Dakota Ramsey, and Ruger Kendall, and they’re taking the thing that Coach Pepper is teaching them and I’m really happy with their progress.”
Quarterback Noah Keefer is the leading returning runner as he ran for 228 yards. The Panthers will look to Dakota Ramsey, who had limited action on offense last season. Also Ruger Kendall ran the ball some last season. Knoxville will be a part of the Meet the Panthers Night tonight with a scrimmage at Ken Locke Stadium. Knoxville kicks off the season next Friday at Boone. You can hear all Knoxville Football games live on 95.3 KNIA this season.
