The PCM volleyball team will open their 2023 season Tuesday in Newton.

There will be four teams taking part in the Newton Cardinal Early Bird Invitational including PCM, Newton, Des Moines Hoover, and Saydel. 

PCM Volleyball Coach Sarah De Vries is wanting to build up excitement around the PCM volleyball program.

“Volleyball is just a ton of fun. The gym can get really loud. There is lots of excitement involved. As a head coach I have ran youth camps this summer to try and get more involvement with the youth loving volleyball. Sometimes it gets overlooked by some of the other sports so just building up the program from the youngest up to the high school level.” 

De Vries is entering her second season as PCM volleyball coach.
