Author and Historian Linda McCann will speak at the Knoxville Public Library today.

The event will start at 1:30 and McCann will be talking about her book “Prohibition in Iowa.” She has written many books about Iowa history and this event gives people an opportunity to hear from her and ask questions. 

Knoxville Public Library Adult Services Librarian Heather Libby says McCann connects her research to the local community. 

“She is a favorite. She comes pretty regularly to the library to talk about the history that she has managed to uncover and she always does a really good job taking these topics that are of interest and connecting them very directly to our community so she is going to be talking about prohibition in Iowa.”
