The Knoxville City Council adopted new policies within the employee handbook at their meeting on Monday.

These changes include a policy that requires all city employees to have their motor vehicle record checked upon employment and annually, along with ensuring the employee handbook is reviewed every five years. 

Also at the meeting was a mayoral reading of the water and wastewater proclamation which can be found here. 

The council set a public hearing for September 5th regarding the status of funded activities for the 203 E. Main Knoxville Façade Project.
