The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released their preseason volleyball rankings Monday and Pella Christian checked in at #8 in the first edition of the poll.
The Eagles bring back eight girls that saw varsity action on last season’s team that won 25 matches, which was the program’s most wins in a season since 2016. With a big group of returners, one thing that has Pella Christian head coach Erica Boer excited about this season is the team’s chemistry.
“They just mesh really well together, and you see that on the court when we play. We’ve had a couple of scrimmages and you just see the trust that they’re building in each other and then themselves, but also as like a whole entire program like freshman through senior. You just see a lot of unity and that’s huge for me.”
The ranked Eagles volleyball team begins there season Saturday morning at 8 with the Skip Anderson Invitational at Bondurant-Farrar High School.
