team-2

The South Central Conference title is one of the goals for the class 4A #9 Knoxville Volleyball Squad. The Panthers finished a disappointing 4th and last season they want to take the conference from Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, who along with Davis County and Albia are also contenders. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the conference season starts off on Tuesday with one of the contenders.

Keitges: “Eddyville is certainly tough, the twins are elite, Davis County is always good and Albia has been getting better. She’s done a great job down there. That’s another reason I want to nail down a line up so we can go into those conference matches knowing who we want out there.”

Eddyville and Davis County are also in the first half of the season, so Keitges adds they will get a good idea of how the conference is in the first few weeks of the season. Knoxville started the season off on Monday by going 2-1 at the Oskaloosa quad.
