Melcher-Dallas Looks To Beat The Other Saints In Mormon Trail
The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad is looking to bounce back from a loss to Murray last week in a week zero contest. The Saints will play Mormon Trail, who are the other Saints in the Bluegrass Conference. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports his team must stop one player for Mormon Trail.
Ferguson: “I know going into that game we have to stop Triton Gwinn. He’s the best athlete going through their school right now, and I know if you can stop him, you have a chance.”
Gwinn was everything for Mormon Trail last season, running for 750 yards, catching 62 passes for 943 yards and threw one pass for 27 yards which resulted in a touchdown. He ran for 125 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 74-0 win. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00.
