The Pleasantville volleyball team went 3-2 at the Albia tournament on Saturday.
The Trojans defeated Southeast Warren 2-0 (21-18, 21-13), North Mahaska 2-0 (21-17, 21-14), and Montezuma 2-1 (15-21, 21-14, 15-12). Pleasantville fell to Seymour 0-2 (16-21, 18-21), and Albia 1-2 (19-21, 22-20, 16-18).
Pleasantville Volleyball Coach Joel Allman commented that his team didn’t play as well as he was hoping, but he was happy with the serve receive along with the defense on the day. He says serving is an area where the Trojans struggled and something they will need to clean up moving forward.
The Trojans improve to 5-3 on the season and will face ACGC on Tuesday night.
