After a pause in the schedule last weekend, the much-anticipated debut for the top-ranked Pella cross country teams will come in their hometown this Saturday. The #1 in Class 3A Dutch boys and girls will welcome several teams to the Central College course to begin the competition calendar after they dropped out of the Prairie Invitational following weather-imposed competitor restrictions. At the Pella invitational, all athletes will compete in two large races. The forecasted heat has moved those competitions to begin at 9 a.m. with the girls and the boys to follow. Several teams are coming to the race, including the following ranked foes:

Glenwood (#8 3A Boys)
Mid-Prairie (#7 2A Boys, #1 2A Girls)
