A retirement celebration was held Tuesday at the Marion County Courthouse for Mike Kuhn, who is the Executive Director of the Marion County Commission on Veterans Affairs for Marion County.

Kuhn has held this position for over 20 years and he will officially retire on Thursday. Many veterans and people of the community showed up to thank Kuhn for all he has done to support veterans over the last two decades. 

Kuhn expressed gratitude for all the support he has had from the people of Marion County.

“It’s been very rewarding. I’ve been blessed with a good ride, support of all the people in Marion County, the veterans, the people in all the offices at the courthouse where I worked, and numerous and numerous people who have always supported my effort here and that’s what has made it a success and I assume that will continue.”

The Veterans Office provides many different services to help veterans and their families.
