The Pella Christian cross country and volleyball teams both hit the road tonight to compete for the second time in the last five days.
The Eagles boys and girls cross country squads compete in the Gilbert meet, while the volleyball team travels to Woodward-Granger.
The Class 2A #13 Pella Christian boys cross country runners are off to a great start to their 2023 campaign, following up their meet win at Albia with a second place finish in the small schools division at the Pella Dutch Invitational Saturday. Meanwhile, the 2A #18 ranked Eagles girls took third place for the second time in as many meets on Saturday with #26 individually ranked Bailey Vos leading the way with a seventh place finish. The Gilbert Cross Country Meet today at Iowa State’s cross country course is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
At Woodward-Granger, the Eagles volleyball team is looking for a big bounce back game. Pella Christian is off to a 2-6 start to the season after dropping their last five matches, including a five-set bout with Newton Tuesday night. After winning their first match of the year against Madrid, the Hawks have dropped six straight contests. The Eagles volleyball game in Woodward tonight is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
