Indianola Football Looks to Get Back on Track Hosting Pella

The Indianola football team will attempt to rebound tonight as they host Little Hawkeye Conference rival Pella in a non-district contest, one week after falling to Norwalk on the road. The Indians have run the ball well this season, with Jake Pontier averaging over 120 yards rushing per game, but it’s been through the air that the Indians have had trouble with in the first two contests, throwing for just over 50 yards per game. Indianola head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the defense will have to play to their potential.
“We really like our guys on defense, they’ve done a great job. As always, we’ll need to do some really great things in the special teams game. It’ll be a great game. We’ve got a lot of respect for Pella and what they’ve done over the last several years, so they have our full attention.”
The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA and on the Indianola Activities YouTube channel, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, and kickoff at 7pm.
