The Marion County Democrats hosted their Annual Picnic and Pie Auction on Sunday at Lake Red Rock’s North Overlook Shelter. 

More than 70 people attended the event and had a free picnic lunch. Attendees also got to hear from speakers that included Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart, Iowa Representative Sean Bagniewski (D 35), Candidate Nicole Loew (IA Senate D 12), Progress Iowa Executive Director Matt Sinovic, and Vote NO to Save Our Library representative Anne Blazek. In her speech, Hart referenced that Marion County has received over $32,000,000 as part of different Biden infrastructure investments. 

The annual social event and fundraiser raises funds to support Democratic candidates.
