With a worsening drought across the region, a welcome shot of rain fell in south central Iowa Sunday into Monday. Many rain gauges in local communities received between 1/2″ to 1 1/4″ of precipitation, including:
Lake Red Rock – .76″
Knoxville – .82″
Pella – .9″
Indianola – .9″
The National Weather Service predicts seasonable, but mainly dry conditions well into next week.
