full-team-2

Coming off its first win of the season last week, the Knoxville Football Squad hopes to string together back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2019 season. The Panthers will host Des Moines Hoover, a team that is struggling at 0-3 on the season. Knoxville is still trying to get the run game going like it wants to as the Panthers ran for 95 yards last week in a win over South Tama. Coach Matt Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Hoover’s defense provides Knoxville with some chances to show off the run game tonight.

Dunkin: “We think we can really take advantage of that while Coach Pep has added some plays in and then show off the passing game and let Noah distribute the call to Rylan, Jay, and C-Will and everyone else.”

Hoover may be without several starters tonight due to injury and other issues. Knoxville and Hoover last played in 1969 and the Huskies hold a two games to none lead in the series. Hear all the action on 95.3 KNIA with the pre game at 6:30.
