The class 4A #14 Knoxville Volleyball Squad went 3-1 at the Des Moines Christian Quad on Thursday night while senior Brittany Bacorn broke through the 1,000 kills mark becoming the first Panthers in program history to achieve that milestone. The Panthers started off by defeating Pella Christian in two sets 21-16, and 21-19, then lost to the hosts class 3A #3 Des Moines Christian 2-1. After winning set one 29-27 ,the Lions got the Panthers in sets two and three 21-15 and 15-12. Knoxville continued its night by sweeping Newton 21-11 and 21-18 and ran past Southeast Warren 21-14 and 21-12. Knoxville is now 10-4 on the season and will head to the Waukee Invitational on Saturday.
