The Indianola School Board approved the Information Technology Incident Response Plan at their meeting Monday, detailing the steps the district will take in the event of an emergency. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the district takes cybersecurity very seriously, and he commends work by staff to make sure operations are run as securely as possible.

“Obviously cybersecurity is a big issue right now. Ray Coffey, our Director of IT, did a great job of researching and putting a plan together of what happens if something were to happen or if someone were to hack into our system or how do we go about preventing those things. We just want to make sure we stay ahead of the game and have procedures in place should something happen, people know what to do so we don’t get caught not knowing what to do.”
