While official enrollment has yet to be set in stone, the Pleasantville Community School District is expecting to see a jump in their numbers.

With official enrollment numbers set to be released in October, Pleasantville is expecting that report to indicate an increase of over 20 students. Superintendent Tony Aylsworth says that while it remains to be seen what the official number is, he is encouraged to see the school’s growth.

“I always cage that with we need to be cautious about talking about enrollment growth until October 1st when it really becomes official but there’s reason for optimism here for sure. It’s easy for me to say when our enrollment is trending up, but I always feel like a great predictor of a really strong school system is to look at your enrollment trends and look at how many kids are choosing to be a part of your community.”
