The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, which included a work session and direction to city staff regarding the South K Street Paving Project.

The council gave direction to city staff during the regular session to build a plan that includes a 12-inch sub-base asphalt road, essential storm drainage only and no sewer, an intersection with the Iowa DOT, and a 31-feet across among others. City staff will present the council with a plan regarding the new council specifications at a later meeting.

The council also approved the second reading and waived the third reading of a zoning ordinance and a payment application and change order on the Hillcrest Avenue Reconstruction Project, and tabled a consideration to vacate an alley on the north side of the 1000 block of East Salem Avenue to gather more information.
