The Simpson College women’s soccer team defeated Westminster 2-0 on Monday evening to improve to 6-1 on the year.
The Storm went ahead early, scoring their first goal at the 9:33 mark. Maddie Hays sent the ball into the box for Brissa Valadez who passed the ball around the keeper for Jordyn Foelske to finish. Hays later doubled Simpson’s lead by converting a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
Simpson outshot Westminster 21-6, with a 12-3 shots on goal advantage.
