The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad went 0-2 at a conference triangular on Tuesday. The Saints fell to Murray in two sets 28-26 and 25-20 and fell to Moravia in three sets. Gabby Overgaard had 12 kills on the night. Kianna Jackson was 8/9 serving against Murray while Brooklyn Metz was 9/9 serving. Coach Jesyka Nolte told KNIA Sports they were tough losses because her team had both matched within its grasp and could not close the deal. Melcher-Dallas is now 2-8 overall and will travel to Ankeny Christian next Tuesday for another Bluegrass Conference triangular.

The Melcher-Dallas Cross Country Squads were supposed to run at the EBF Invitational. The girls got their race in before rain chased everyone away. Addie Wadle led the Saints over the line in 19th with a time of 24:28 while Trista Hansaker ran her first 5K and placed 45th with a time of 27:20. Rain fell before the boys race could get started.
