The Indianola girls cross country team made a statement at Pickard Park in a talented meet Thursday taking home a first place finish scoring 36 team points, getting four top 10 finishes. Gracie Foster had a 2nd place finish, Jordyn Brown finished in 5th, Paige Hoger was in 8th, and Hadley Erickson finished in 9th.

The boys finished in fourth with 95 points, led by Reed Robbins in 6th, Keifer Barnes finished in 9th, and Paxton Bloom finished in 18th, while Sam Appel earned 22nd place. The boys next race on Tuesday at Knoxville, while the girls travel to Southeast Polk on Thursday.

The Indianola girls swim team fell to Marshalltown 82-102 at the Indianola Wellness Center.

The team of Guinevere McCusker, Serenity Turner, Chloey Hart and Olivia Bacon won the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 2:09.99.

Guinevere McCusker went on to win the 200 Individual Medley (2:28.75) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:21.15). Olivia Bacon won the 50 Freestyle (25.85) and 100 Freestyle (56.88). The team swims next on Saturday morning at Des Moines Lincoln.
