The Norwalk volleyball team finished with a 2-2 record at Saturday’s Nevada Tournament and now stands 16-12 on the season.
The Class 4A 7th-ranked Warriors went 2-1 in Pool B, starting with 2-0 wins over West Marshall (21-11, 23-21) and Carroll (21-5, 21-3). They lost to 2A 11th-ranked Wapsie Valley 2-1, dropping the third set 15-12. Nevada then defeated Norwalk by scores of 21-19, 21-19 in the first round of Gold Bracket competition.
Statistical leaders on the day for Norwalk included Noelle Sutcliffe with 40 kills and 23 digs, Grace Dehmer with 25 digs, Hadley Michael with 42 assists and Liz Iverson 35 assists. Ava Johnson spiked 18 total kills, followed by Emory Toppenberg with 11, Ava McKay nine and Ava Carlson eight.
The Warriors will host Pella Christian for Senior Night on Tuesday at 7:15.
