The Pella Christian volleyball team begins a busy week tonight with a road Little Hawkeye Conference game at Norwalk, while the Eagles cross country teams compete for the only time this week at Williamsburg.

After competing just once last week, the Pella Christian volleyball squad has two matches and a tournament this week. The Eagles, coming off a 3-2 loss to Oskaloosa a week ago, take on a Norwalk team that is ranked #7 in Class 4A. The Warriors most recently competed at the Nevada tournament last Saturday, going 2-2. Before that, Norwalk improved to 3-1 in the conference with a 3-2 win over Pella.

In Williamsburg, Pella Christian’s Class 2A #15 ranked boys and #19 in 2A girls cross country teams will compete against loaded fields. Of the 20 schools scheduled to be in attendance for the meet, not including the Eagles, nine feature ranked boys squads and six have ranked girls teams. The boys race features five teams ranked in Class 3A (#2 Pella, #4 Mount Vernon, #5 Carlisle, #9 Solon, and #16 South Tama), three teams in 2A (#6 Vinton-Shellsburg, #12 Williamsburg, and #19 Tipton), and one team in 1A (#19 Danville). The girls field has three ranked teams from 3A (#1 Pella, #4 Mount Vernon, and #7 Solon), two teams from 2A (#4 Tipton and #15 Williamsburg), and one from 1A (#19 English Valleys).

Varsity races for the Pella Christian cross country teams in Williamsburg tonight are scheduled to start at at 5 p.m., while the Eagles volleyball match at Norwalk High School begins at 7:30 p.m.
