A former Pella resident faces over a decade in prison for drug related charges. The Marion County Attorney’s Office reports Terrance Lepaul Partee, formerly of Pella, was sentenced to 168 months (14 years) in federal prison on September 7th. On December 8th, 2022, a joint investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Pella Police Department resulted in the discovery of 411 grams of methamphetamine, 668 grams of heroin, and 88 grams of marijuana at Partee’s residence in Pella. Partee was arrested by Marion County law enforcement and charged with distribution of controlled substances. Partee was later indicted by the United States Attorney Office. Partee ultimately pled guilty to one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver more than 50 grams of Methamphetamine.
Pella Police Chief Shane McSheehy stated, “Community safety is our North Star, and the quality of life for every resident is our guiding principle. We will pursue our mission relentlessly, because we owe it to our community to keep drugs out and protect our way of life”.
Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt stated, “I am so proud of the deputies and officers who spent hundreds of hours putting this case together. I appreciate our federal partners working with County Attorney Harmon to put Mr. Partee in federal prison to answer for his actions.”
Marion County Attorney Jared Harmon stated, “This is a great example of Marion County law enforcement working together to bring a person selling lethal substances in our community to justice.”
Partee was previously convicted and sentenced to five years in State prison in May of 2020 for distribution of marijuana. The Department of Corrections paroled Partee on August 3, 2021.
