The Marion County Board of Supervisors set a date for a public hearing on the proposal to enter into a development agreement with Adkins Specialty Carriers LLC and the City of Pleasantville.

The public hearing is the initial stage for this development project, and it will take place at the next board of supervisors meeting on October 10th. This stems from land in Pleasantville being designated and eligible as an “Urban Renewal Area”, and the potential to be adopted into the Adkins Urban Renewal Plan. 

Also at the meeting was the approval of an event application from THRIVE Knoxville and there was a detailed report given from County Engineer Tyler Christian about different road projects throughout the county.
