The Melcher-Dallas Lions Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 632 are hosting events on Saturday.

The American Legion will host a breakfast Saturday morning that will include biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and coffee. The breakfast will be open to the public and there will be a cost of $6 per plate. After the breakfast, the Lions Club is hosting their annual “A Roaring Good Time” car show, in addition to a craft show. Both the car and craft shows will feature live music and food. Melcher-Dallas Lions Club President Dwight Biddle says that the events are a fundraiser that helps support the community.

“Our Lions Club owns the community center for the community and so some of those funds help to go towards keeping that up. Also, we use it to give back to people who are in need. So, if there’s a need for somebody was eyeglasses, we try to help them out as much as we possibly can if the funds are available. So, it goes back into the community. ”

The American Legion breakfast starts at 8 a.m., with the Lions Club’s car and craft shows following from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
