The PCM and Pleasantville boys and girls cross country teams will be competing in the Chariton Charger Invitational today.
The meet will feature 12 teams on the boys side and 13 teams on the girls side. The #17 in class 2A PCM girls team are coming off a first place finish at the Pleasantville Invite and a second place finish at their home meet last week. Sophomore Coby DeRaad has been having a successful season for the PCM boys. He came in 8th individually at their home meet with a time of 19:00.20.
The Pleasantville boys have been anchored this year by junior Kurt Kuhnen who has impressed at nearly every race. The last two meets, Kuhnen has come in 4th and 3rd overall. At the PCM invite he finished 3rd with a time of 18:33.80. Kyleigh McConnell has been consistent this year for the Trojan girls and has proven to be a strong leader on the team.
The Charger Invitational tonight will start at 4:30 pm and will be held at Lake View Golf and Country Club in Chariton.
