Knoxville Municipal Airport will be hosting the Knoxville Airshow and Family Festival tomorrow.
There will be a family fun festival at the airport starting at 1:00 that will have a petting zoo, bounce house, flight simulator, photo booth, plane train, rock climbing wall, door prizes, and much more. After the fun festival, the airshow will start at 4:30, involving many different impressive acts in the sky. After the airshow, there will be a concert starting at 6:00 by “The Nadas” featuring Neva Allen.
Food trucks will be available all day during the event and concert. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to sit on during the show. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch encourages everyone to come out to this event.
“I’m really excited about it. It’s a great opportunity. The airshow is a wonderful event and we’re so lucky to have that going on this weekend. I hope people get out there and participate. Katie and everyone out there have done such a great job of putting that together. They’re going to have so many things for people to do. I would urge people to get out there and check out the event and you might even see me fly out of a plane.”
Hatch will be skydiving to kick off the airshow. Hear more from the mayor on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
