The Knoxville Football Squad’s schedule is getting real. As in real difficult. The Panthers will travel to 9th ranked Nevada to try to solve the Cubs run and pass game. Knoxville is coming off a three point loss to Atlantic last week in a game that the Panthers left scoring chances on the table. This week Knoxville will go up against one of the better running attacks in the state with Nevada’s Cason Stevenson, who has rushed for 839 yards this season. Panthers Coach Matt Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he does not want to say it is a pick your poison type of game, but Nevada also has a solid passing game to be aware of.
Dunkin: “I’d like to think if we slow the running game down. But you see them on film when you slow the running game down they do have a really good passing game, but Coach Cole has been working hard to get the guys ready and mentally focused on the game Friday.”
If the Panthers do slow down the Cubs running game, it could be an aerial attack from both teams. Listen to live coverage from Nevada on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame show starting at 6:30.
