The Knoxville Public Library is holding a book reading and signing with author George Khal on Thursday. 

Khal will be presenting his memoir called “The First Night of the Crescent Moon” which is his journey from Palestine to Iowa. This memoir tracks George from being an infant in Palestine throughout his childhood in Cairo, Egypt, to his time at school in Jerusalem, and his adulthood in Iowa City. This event will be at 1:30 pm.
