The #1 in 3A girls and #2 boys cross country teams from Pella will have their final regular season meet today with the postseason looming quickly. A long trek east awaits the Dutch to Hillcrest Academy in the last competition before next week’s Little Hawkeye Conference race and the upcoming state qualifier at the Pella Sports Park. Pella Head Coach Doug Cutler says this represents one of the last few chances for athletes to compete for spots on the postseason varsity roster and to see some eastern Iowa teams that may be at their district race on October 18th.

The following ranked teams are competing:
Danville – #17 in 1A boys
Mediapolis – #11 in 1A boys
Washington – #7 in 3A boys, #20 in 3A girls

Races begin at 4:00 this afternoon at the Hillcrest Academy course near Kalona.
