Baylie Thornbrugh, a Patient Care Technician at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House, was nominated by a patient’s family for Pella Regional Health Center’s ROSE Award for her high performance standards and compassionate care.
Excerpt from her nomination:
“Baylie’s care of her patient throughout his stay at the Comfort House continued to be very loving and caring. Her goal each day was to make him smile. Baylie’s care for him was complete physically, emotionally, and mentally. Her love for me and other visitors was very evident. She was very loving and understanding for us as the patient’s friends and family members.”
The ROSE Award is a rewards program for Patient Care Technicians. ROSE is an acronym for Recognition Of Service Excellence. Recipients of the ROSE award demonstrate excellence through their compassionate care, outstanding communication skills and clinical expertise.
