The City of Indianola is holding a pair of community informational meetings today regarding a grant opportunity for further downtown facade improvements.
City of Indianola Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the city initially provided $125,000 for businesses to apply for earlier this year, and those projects are about to be underway. Dissell said this new session will gauge the interest of using federal funds through a Community Development Block Grant Downtown Revitalization Grant that uses 50% federal funds, matched 25% by the city, and an additional 25% from the property owner.
There are two sessions today, one at 9am and another at 6pm, both taking place in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall. For more information, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
