The Pleasantville volleyball team traveled to Earlham on Tuesday, and defeated their West Central Conference opponents in straight sets to wrap up their regular season.
The Trojans won the first set 25-20, which was the closest set of the night. Pleasantville came away with commanding wins in the next two sets, defeating the Cardinals 25-17 and 25-15 to close out the sweep. Pleasantville Coach Joel Allman commented that his girls played really clean volleyball and moved onto the next play any time a mistake was made. Allman added that he was happy with how his team ended the regular season and is excited to get into the conference tournament and postseason play.
Pleasantville finishes the regular season with a 25-9 overall record and a 3-3 conference record. The Trojans will once again square off with Earlham, this time in the second round of the conference tournament, which will be held at Des Moines Christian on Monday.
