full-team-3

The Knoxville Football Squad continues undoubtedly the toughest portion of the schedule with likely the best team the Panthers will play all season #2 ranked Creston, the other Panthers of class 3A district six. The Red and Black Panthers of Creston have a 6-0 record and with a couple of exceptions, have mowed down everyone in their path. The one key to Creston’s success is running back Brennen Hayes, who ran while on the Panthers last year with over 400 yards on the ground. Now this season he has added receiving to his weaponry, and along with his 773 rushing yards he has 632 yards receiving. That makes Knoxville Coach Matt Dunkin work even harder to try to figure out how to slow down Creston’s biggest playmaker.

Dunkin: “What we tell our guys all the time, just focus on yourselves, and eliminate the outside noise, and focus on what we have to do then we’ll be successful from there.”

Knoxville is dealing with injuries as three key players will be out for tonight’s contest. The Black and Gold Panthers have never beaten the Red and Black Panthers in four games. Join us for all the action starting with the pregame show at 6:30 on 95.3 KNIA.
