The Pella Marching Dutch return to a favorite competition of the ensemble today as the fall season continues.

The band travels to the 44th annual Valleyfest showdown this evening. Director of the Marching Dutch Dameon Place says their show “Wild” has incorporated more challenging movements and music, with the goal of elevating their already successful run at shows each autumn.

The Pella Marching Dutch are scheduled to perform at 10 p.m. at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.

Other area bands will perform during the day portion of the competition, including Knoxville at 8:30 a.m., Norwalk at 11:30 a.m., and Indianola at 11:45 a.m., all at the same venue. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for results.
