The Indianola Police Department has promoted Officer Devin Thomas to Sergeant, and he was sworn into the position Monday at the Indianola City Council meeting. The promotion is the latest in a long line of reshuffling at the department since new Chief Brian Sher took over the position in September of 2022, including multiple new leadership positions. Sgt. Thomas will be assigned to supervise the night shift patrol.
