For the first time ever, the Bluegrass Conference will hold a cross country meet. That will take place on Monday at Honey Creek Resort near Moravia. While not all of the conference teams will be full rosters it is an important event for the small school conference and Melcher-Dallas will try to get several individuals in position to score all-conference. Head Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA Sports while the team title is out of the question, her three runners on the girls side have goals of getting an all-conference or conference champion.

Stuart: “While we can’t compete as a team, and I was hoping for that. We have at three possibilities on the girls side to be all-conference or a conference champion so I’m excited to see what we can do.”

According to Bound Addie Wadle, Hailey Stegman and freshman Trista Hansaker all appear solidly in the top ten, which is good enough for all-conference. Monday’s meet is set to get underway at 5:00.
