Pella in Pink was held Sunday afternoon at the Cordova Park Pavilion at Lake Red Rock.

The event presented by Pella Regional Health Center Foundation included a remembrance ceremony, bounce houses for children, and a 1.2 mile trail hike around Kaar Trail. Approximately 250 people attended and 32 survivors were recognized at Pella in Pink. Foundation Coordinator at Pella Regional Jenny Hesseltine says that the event helps support ongoing efforts to treat breast cancer at the hospital.

“Pella in Pink is an annual event that is seeking to raise awareness and support for breast cancer here locally in Pella, supporting our survivors, those along the journey, remembering those who have walked the journey and then just supporting financially ways to continue to integrate new technology into our programming here and take really good care of the patients that we are privileged to serve here at Pella Regional.”
