The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board held a public hearing on the proposal to enter into a development agreement with Adkins Specialized Carriers, LLC and the City of Pleasantville, and approved the agreement. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian also provided an update on the sinkhole located outside of Knoxville and work being done to mitigate it. Christian said that Bruening Rock Products is working on the sinkhole repair, and after exploring additional options, will proceed with the original plan of putting a concrete cap on the bedrock to fill the sinkhole.
