Twin Cedars Elementary teacher Theresa Davis was awarded the Golden Apple from IMT/McKay Insurance and WHO TV on Wednesday. 

She is a special education teacher at Twin Cedars Elementary School and serves as the high school athletic director, volleyball coach, and boys track and field coach. Davis said that the award came as a surprise, but added that it was exciting to be recognized for all of her hard work.

“It was an incredible honor. Going into teaching, you don’t really think about being rewarded or anything like that, you do it because you want to help kids. So, to be recognized and to be awarded for my hard work is pretty awesome.”
