The Twin Cedars Football Squad ends the district portion of the season tonight against Montezuma. The Sabers lost to Belle Plaine last week 60-0. The Plainsmen held Twin Cedars in check while rushing for 226 yards. Coach Cam Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the Braves can throw the ball and his defensive secondary will need to heads up tonight.
Parker: “He lobs the ball off all the time, and he seems to find his receivers, and they have a fullback that runs the ball hard, so our defensive backs will have to be ready to cover people.”
The Braves have an overall nearly 60% passing competition rate going into tonight’s game. Twin Cedars is 0-4 against Montezuma according to B.C. Moore in a series that first played in 1992 during both team’s 11 man eras. The last two times were in 2021 and last season with the Braves winning both games. Kickoff in Montezuma is set for 7:00.
