Area Beggars Nights are coming up later this month. The city of Bussey will hold their Beggars Night on Saturday, October 28th from 4-6 p.m. On Sunday, October 29th, Melcher-Dallas will hold theirs from 5-7 p.m., while Monroe’s event will run from 6-8 that same evening. The cities of Carlisle, Indianola, Norwalk, and Prairie City will host Beggars Night on Monday, October 30th from 6-8 p.m. Knoxville, Pella, Pleasantville, and Martensdale will have their events on Halloween Night, Tuesday, October 31st from 6-8 p.m. 

Along with Beggars Nights, there will be multiple Trunk or Treat Events held throughout the KNIA/KRLS listening area. Iowa State Extension and Outreach in Knoxville will host their event on Thursday, October 26th from 5-7 p.m. at the Marion County Fairgrounds. Otley Church will hold a Trunk or Treat in their parking lot on the 29th from 3-5 p.m., and the Melcher-Dallas FFA will also hold their event on the 29th from 5-7 p.m. in the Melcher-Dallas High School parking lot. The Cottages at Hearthstone in Pella will also host a Trunk or Treat event on the 31st from 6-7:30 p.m.
