The Indianola School Board discussed strategic planning for the district at their meeting Tuesday, which included refining the vision for the district on the experience for students.

Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News they worked with focus groups, students, parents, and staff to gather as much data as possible.

“We started in the classroom, and then built it back up into the boardroom. So we started this process in January of last year, focus groups of students in the elementary, middle, and high school levels, with staff involved as well. Really what it comes down to is what is our daily desired experiences, what do we want to have happen in our buildings every single day.”
