The Leighton Lions Club will hold a pancake breakfast on Saturday, October 21st.
The Lions Club will be serving all you can eat Pancakes and the menu also includes sausage, eggs, fruit, and a choice of beverage. The event is open to the public and Chuck Bogaard with the Leighton Lions Club says that a freewill donation is being held for a former Leighton resident and his family after they lost their home and belongings in the Hawaii wildfires in August.
“This donation will go to Casey Brummel, who was one of the unfortunate people that had their home completely destroyed in the fire in Hawaii. And their family still lives in Leighton and is well known in our whole community, not just in Leighton but in the area. And so it touched our hearts and we felt this was a good place to go with the proceeds.”
The Leighton Lions Club pancake breakfast will take place next Saturday at Leighton Christian Reformed Church from 6.30-9 a.m.
