The Pleasantville defense continues to dominate, now pitching their third straight shutout as they head into postseason play. After the victory, Pleasantville finishes the regular season with a 5-3 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the district. They secured the number three seed in their district and will find out who they play  in the postseason at 10:00 this morning. Pleasantville Head Football Coach Mack Jorth is happy with the growth of his team.

“Really proud of our guys and how they’ve stuck together, and how they continue to buy into taking steps each week regardless of the outcome. I think we are starting to see the fruits of that labor. Every week you can pick out a couple things we need to really focus in on and get better at and overall we’ve done a really good job with that. Our guys continue to take that part of the preparation seriously and I think that is really helping us out. I’m excited to see what happens in the near future because I think we have a really good football team.”

The Trojans will be on the road next week for the first round of postseason play.
