The #2 Indianola volleyball team has had a stellar season, going undefeated in both the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season and tournament, and sporting a 34-4 record on the season, only dropping games to class 5A ranked opponents #2 Ankeny Centennial, #8 Ankeny, #7 Johnston, and #3 Waukee Northwest.
The Indians will begin postseason play this Thursday as they host the winner of 6-24 Carroll and 2-29 Denison-Schleswig, but the biggest test could very well be on the opposite side of the bracket, where #14 Glenwood awaits the winner of 10-19 Winterset and 5-19 Creston.
Head coach Kent Halstead tells KNIA Sports as he’s said all season long, the team that plays better together is more often going to come out on top, and the Indians have been playing together as a team all season long.
The road to Iowa City and the state tournament begins on Thursday evening at Indianola High School at 7pm.
