The Melcher-Dallas Community School District will honor local US Veterans in November, with their third annual Veterans Day Assembly. 

Veterans from the community are invited to the Melcher-Dallas elementary gym, where there will be a slide show and time for sharing about service and their connection to the school. The assembly is run by the students at Melcher-Dallas schools. Veterans planning to attend the event are asked to fill out a form, so they can be recognized, and those unable to attend are also encouraged to submit a form to be honored during the assembly. Participants are asked to meet in the library 15 minutes prior to the event.
