The Pella School Board will hold a work session to discuss several topics in the district at their meeting today. The board will review progress with the ongoing ten-year facilities plan, last updated in 2018. The board will also discuss their retreat held last week, follow up to concerns brought up about by teachers behavioral needs at district elementary buildings, and discuss a goal of Superintendent Greg Ebeling to improve communications in the district. Additionally, the board will review the ongoing sharing agreement for the school resource officer position and an update about ongoing construction at the early childhood center and Jefferson/Middle School connector. They will also receive an update about the district’s certified enrollment count, including details about open enrollment and where students are moving in from and out to. The Pella School Board meeting begins at 4:30 this afternoon in the Pella High School Library.
